An airplane departing from Detroit Metro, passing in front of the Sun and a cloud.
A farmer in Mid-Michigan burning one of his fields to prep it for the coming crop planting.
A view of an Audi wheel and brake at the 2008 North American International Auto Show.
John, one of my co-workers, playing at The Factory. It was their bands, Stroller Coaster, first gig, and they were amazing.
Waiting for the show to start at SeaWorld. It was very hot and sunning out (dispite that cloud you see), so everybody wanted it to get started.
Liz with her festive red claw covers on.
Just a random porch I saw while wandering around downtown Key West for New Years. I like the washed out color caused by the mercury vapor street lights.

Just a random palm tree on Key West.
A student reading a book at Oakland University.
Part of a map on the ground along the Detroit Riverwalk.
An abandoned school bus along M-123 in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Just a random picture I took at Downtown Disney. I have no clue what they are, but I think that’s a Rubik’s Cube in her hand.
Sara slurping down a blue frozen drink at Epcot.

A worker doing their thing on a new tower build along my route home.
A view of downtown Hancock, MI, late on a foggy night.
An abandoned school bus along M-123 in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
My cousin holding one of his daughters at SeaWorld. She was a bit cranky because of the heat.
Just a test of my Nikon 18-200 VR lens from my garage. This truck goes by out house on a regular basis.
Some late night testing of my D2x with long exposures.
Shaun, one of my co-workers, singing backup vocals at The Factory. It was their bands, Stroller Coaster, first gig, and they were amazing.

The first mate of our snorkeling boat in Key West.
John, one of my co-workers, playing at The Factory. It was their bands, Stroller Coaster, first gig, and they were amazing.
Just a random view down M-28 in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I made this trip many many times.
A picture of the clouds and stars, with a 10 second exposure. Just fiddling with the D2x at night.
The Grand Portal at its dock in Munising, MI. This boat takes people out to see the Pictured Rocks.
My father at the rail of boat as we motor out to our first snorkeling stop.
Just some palm trees in Key West.

So I have had a very long standing hip problem. I’ve had it for ~6-7 years, and it consists of a constant pain in my left hip. Back when I was in college and still on my parents insurance I went to the Dr. to try and get a diagnosis.
At the time they determined that I had snapping hip syndrome, and sent me to an orthopedic surgeon to look into it more in-depth. They did a standard MRI, and were unable to find any specific problem. All they could tell me was ‘lose weight and it should get better’. I didn’t particularly believe them, and sure enough, after losing 50lbs, the problem is as bad as ever.
Since I am on good insurance again, I lost basically all of my ‘overweight’ weight, and it has been worse lately, I decided to look back into it. My current PCP (the very nice Dr. Bellisario) sent me to see a sports medicine doctor. This doctor took a few X-rays and didn’t see any particular problems, so he decided to send me for a more specific test.
The test he ordered is called a MR Arthrogram. I’ll be covering the unpleasantness of that, and the results in some upcoming posts – it looks like this is going to be a common post topic for 6 or more months…

Some kids at the Howell BalloonFest, as some of the hot air balloons prepare for liftoff.
Some bike locked to a palm tree at Higgs Beach on Key West
Cinderella Castle, illuminated by blue flood lights at night.
One of my first pictures with the D3. Snickers is just sitting there, looking cute as ever.
Sara and Snickers lounging on the boat as we pull into the shallow anchoring area on Higgins Lake.
Snickers looking attently at something while on the boat.
This was taken at the entryway to the Hemingway House in Key West. They had 45+ cats there, all descendants of cats the Ernest Hemingway kept there.
